Why we are active here

The advisory work of mprofi AG has, over the past years, repeatedly raised the same question: «Which tool makes sense in our context, and which one violates our compliance requirements?» The established answers in the industry are either marketing-driven or purely technical without a compliance view.

We fill this gap with soberly maintained directories and with application tools that do not deploy AI as an end in itself, but as a craftsman’s instrument for clearly defined tasks. The vertical is deliberately not called «AI» alone, but «AI / Directory», because the directory work is the more substantial contribution.

Swiss regulatory context

For AI tools in Switzerland, the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) applies, which sets a clear framework — particularly for the processing of personal data within AI systems. Swiss companies working with European partners must additionally observe the requirements of the EU AI Act, especially for high-risk applications.

In the software recommendation space, the requirements of the GDPR and the revFADP on data storage in third countries are relevant — a question that arises with many American providers and which is named explicitly in the directory entries. In the court space, the Swiss Civil Procedure Code (ZPO) applies, supplemented by cantonal procedural provisions, which Court Companion reflects in its template library.
