Konkurse Abwenden

Konkurse Abwenden is a platform for Swiss SMEs, trustees and restructuring advisers who wish to identify liquidity risks early and address them in a structured manner. It combines an early-warning system based on concrete liquidity indicators with tools for the subsequent restructuring work under the Swiss Federal Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act (SchKG). Data is held exclusively in Switzerland.

Early-warning system and restructuring tool for Swiss SMEs.

Konkurse Abwenden starts from one observation: most bankruptcies of Swiss SMEs are, in retrospect, no surprise. They announce themselves months in advance in liquidity patterns that, with some discipline, would have been recognisable early. The platform makes these patterns visible and helps to initiate structured restructuring steps during the remaining window for action, before the SchKG imposes the procedural framework.

For whom

The platform is aimed at three groups: SME managing directors who wish to monitor their liquidity proactively; trustees who guide several clients and must warn them early; and restructuring advisers with active mandates in the crisis phase. It is not intended for pure accounting needs without a risk focus.

What it does

  • Early-indicator dashboard with the classic patterns (debtor days, creditor stretching, bank-line utilisation)
  • Liquidity forecast over 13 weeks with scenarios for various measures
  • Recommendations for action under the Swiss SchKG, from moratorium proceedings to provisional bankruptcy deferral
  • Restructuring tools for debt-waiver negotiations and creditor settlements
  • Confidential advisory room for cooperation between managing director, trustee and restructuring adviser
  • Creditor communication hub with documented history

Why it exists

In Switzerland, many SMEs lack systematic risk observation beyond the annual balance-sheet view. By the time the crisis becomes visible, the room for action is often already narrow. The platform shifts attention forward into the phase in which substantial remedies are still possible. It does not replace the lawyer or trustee, but gives all parties a shared picture of the situation.

Status

Live in productive use by trustees and through direct application by SME managing directors. The platform is developed further together with restructuring practitioners.
