mprofi AG

mprofi AG is the operating backbone of the Beherzig Group. It was founded in 1996 by André Beherzig and has since delivered digital projects for Swiss and German enterprises. Today two strands run under its roof: building and running the portfolio-owned SaaS products, and ongoing client mandates from three decades of grown relationships.

For whom

mprofi AG works for existing clients from industry and the mid-market, for new client projects with clearly defined requirements, and for strategic partners with whom long-term development undertakings are realised jointly. It is not a consulting house with slide output but a technical atelier with its own hosting infrastructure.

What it does

• Software development in PHP, TypeScript, Python and Go with a focus on long-term maintainable architectures
• Own hosting infrastructure in Switzerland with self-operated servers and full data sovereignty
• Open-source-first as an architectural principle, even where proprietary components would be more convenient in the short term
• Operation of the Beherzig Group products as the operating carrier
• Guidance of client projects from conception into long-term operation
• Experience with Swiss compliance requirements, from the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) to sector-specific rules

Why it exists

mprofi AG came into being in 1996 as André Beherzig’s personal vehicle, long before today’s conceptual world of the tech industry existed. What began as single-project work has, over three decades, grown into a consolidated portfolio — with client mandates that have in some cases been running for twenty years, and with own developments that are today brought together under the Beherzig Group umbrella brand.

Status

Active with productive client mandates and as the operator of the portfolio-owned products. mprofi AG remains in family ownership and finances itself from its own business.
