Verhandlungs Companion

The Verhandlungs Companion structures the preparation, conduct and follow-up of business negotiations. Instead of an empty Word template, it provides a negotiation framework: BATNA analysis, issue tree, concession logic, audit trail of negotiation steps. The Companion is not a training tool for rhetorical manoeuvres but a tool for structured negotiation preparation — concise, documented, free of rhetorical coaching.

Structured preparation and support for business negotiations.

The Verhandlungs Companion structures the work before, during and after a business negotiation. The background is a recurring observation: negotiations rarely fail on rhetoric — they fail on poor preparation, missing BATNA analysis, unclear hierarchies of negotiation points, undocumented concessions. The Companion fills that gap with a sober structuring framework.

For whom

The Companion is aimed at managing directors in the Swiss and German Mittelstand, M&A advisors, procurement leads in complex supplier relationships, and sales directors with large contract volumes. Typical use: preparation of an M&A letter of intent, negotiation of a multi-year supply contract, condition negotiation with a strategic customer.

What it does

  • Structured negotiation preparation with issue tree and priority weighting
  • BATNA analysis (Best Alternative To Negotiated Agreement) as an anchor
  • Concession logic with documented trade-offs instead of ad-hoc decisions
  • Audit trail of all negotiation steps for the follow-up
  • Contract clause library following the Swiss Code of Obligations
  • Data residency in Switzerland, no data flow into training corpora of external providers

Why it came about

Over three decades of business practice, we have observed that even experienced negotiators proceed unstructured in the decisive moments. The Companion is the tool we would have wanted for ourselves — structured, documented, data-protection-compliant.

Status
